SCENE: Rep. Dina Titus is running late to one of the last votes in the House before the chamber gaveled out of session for an extended monthlong August recess.
Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo rushes to snag this briefest of interviews as Titus jets past the Capitol Police security checkpoint on her way to the House floor.
Matt Laslo: “Have you had any conversations about SAFER Banking Act this Congress?”
Dina Titus: “No, just general ones. Nothing that’s very specific…”
ML: “Do you think we’ll…”
DT: “I’ve got to go vote.”
Titus pulls open heavy Carriage Entrance door to House of Representatives.
ML: “Do you think we’ll see it in the fall?”
DT: “I hope so…”
Titus passes security checkpoint, leaving Laslo alone outside.
